August in Jackson Hole is a popular time for visitors - we highly suggest you book flights and accommodations as soon as possible to get the best rates.

We sincerely hope you'll consider taking a few extra days (or the week!) and make your trip to Jackson a true vacation!  There are endless incredible things to do in the area including exploring the National Parks, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paragliding, etc...

Air Travel

Please forgive us in advance - but tickets to Jackson can get very expensive, very quickly (especially if you are considering a Sunday departure).  We really did our homework on popular weekends and purposely chose a wedding date that avoided major holidays in the hopes that flights would be on the more reasonable side.

Delta, United, American and Frontier service Jackson Hole (JAC) in the summer with daily non-stop flights from Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Salt Lake City and San Francisco.  Connecting flights often go through Salt Lake City or Denver (but sometimes Chicago or Texas).

However, we strongly recommend flying into Salt Lake City, which is approximately a 4 1/2 hour drive to Jackson. From Salt Lake, you can either rent a car or take a shuttle from Salt Lake Airport to Jackson

SOUTHWEST: Salt Lake City is a Southwest hub - flights from Boston and New York City are consistently under $200 one way, and will be available to book in February.

SET A PRICE ALERT:  We suggest using a third-party site like Kayak or Priceline to search airline tickets.  Often when people start looking at the same date on the Delta website for example, prices can rise due to interest and search criteria.  We really like the site Kayak.com.  You can set a price alert that will email you weekly as you track possible flights.

DELTA COMPANION PASS:  If you have a Delta Sky Miles credit card, you are likely eligible for a companion pass once a year. That means that as long as you have the exact same itinerary as the person traveling with you, it's essentially buy one ticket, get the second free.  Check the Delta website for more information.

Car Rental

While round trip transportation will be provided from the center of Teton Village to both the welcome party and the wedding, we recommend you think about renting a car while you are visiting Jackson.  Though everything is walk-able within Teton Village and the Town of Jackson, many of the activities you will want to partake in require a car to access. For example, it's about 15 minutes from the Town of Jackson to Teton Village, and it's roughly 20 minutes from town to Jenny Lake in GTNP.

Rental car options both at the Jackson Hole Airport and in downtown Jackson (a shuttle or cab ride away from the airport) can be found here
